Cherrington drive 30th August 2020
Our second drive of the season was kindly hosted by Avril Pluck with niece Clare and her husband Andy and their children. A chilly morning soon warmed up and eight turnouts enjoyed a very pleasant drive of seven or twelve miles on quiet roads through the lovely Shropshire countryside. On our return Avril and her family did us proud with socially distanced afternoon tea in the garden followed by presentation of rosettes and medals and a raffle with proceeds to a dementia care charity.
Those taking part were Felicity Stubbs and Kathy Buckland with Amber, Jennifer Marren and Helen James with Corky, Bryony and Mike Cowie with Red, Russell Hand and family with a team of four, Sue and Ian Cole with Sam the Man, Julie Wedgbury with a pair of ponies, Ann Staniland with a pair of ponies, Becky and Luke Seabury with Moses and Claudia Bunn with her chestnut horse. Becky and Moses, along with Luke on his bike, enjoyed their first experience of a BDS drive and now can’t wait for the next one!
Many thanks to everyone who made the day possible, including Tony Gregory, Ali Mason and Avril’s grandson Noah (Yil Aerial Photography) for the excellent photography.
