May Day 2023
Our May Day drive this year fell perfectly on Bank Holiday, May 1st. The farm where we met, being behind with their field work due to the wet weather, asked us to park in the top yard. We were surrounded by enormous trailers and implements, an impressive work force.
Eight turn outs were present, one team and seven singles. We had a delightful drive with most choosing the twelve mile option. The route used country lanes through attractive villages with many crossings of the Shropshire Union Canal. Much waving from us to those down below on the water. The weather was kind to us but did come up with a sharp wind during our break in Church Eaton. Refreshments for all and an easy drive back to the yard for our picnic lunches.
Our thanks go to Edward Orgill for arranging this enjoyable drive for us.
See you all at the Coronation Drive with your decorations and crowns
