Winsley Hall drive Sunday 19th July 2023 

The weather was not too bad as we set off from home to travel to Winsley Hall with just a few showers on the way.   Sadly Mrs June Whittaker could not be at the drive this year to present the Moonstroller trophy as she is unwell so it was decided that it would just be a pleasure drive with no formal lining up on the lawn as previously.   Mr Charles Whittaker welcomed us and Bryony gave him a bouquet to give to Mrs Whittaker with the thanks of BDS Shropshire for her support over the years and for the wonderful teas she used to so kindly give us.  Five turnouts took part and set off at intervals and all enjoyed the drive through the lanes with some lovely views, very little traffic and only one tractor!  On our return the heavens opened for a short while and our picnic was taken in the shelter of the stable yard.   Before we all left Mr Whittaker very kindly invited us to return next year.
